Amazon Kindle

Hi!
My Amazon shorts still haven't appeared. Soon, maybe.

I'm sure the folks at Amazon are much too busy with the Christmas rush of people who are excited about their new electronic paper reader, the Kindle.

Well, I succumbed, too. I ordered one. It says it won't arrive until after Crhistmas, but that's okay.

Yes, I know. I'm an electronics nut. I love the stuff. We'll see if this one lives up to all the hype.

I can't believe the people who are giving it a "review" when they haven't even seen or used it yet.

Hey, a "review" is supposed to be given AFTER you use the thing!!! Maybe they can't afford one and are jealous of the people who can? Sigh.

Those reviews bug me, just like some book reviewers bug me when they skim through and don't really read a book. I mean, how stupid is that? If you don't want to try something, then don't. But don't knock it unless you've tried it anyway. Or pan a book you haven't read.

Sorry. We got a big snowstorm in MN yesterday, so I'm not in the best of moods. I really hate driving in the stuff and I have to get out in the morning.

Today I have the fireplace going and DH and I have played a bunch of dominos.

Amazon Shorts

Hi,
I'm new at this, but will give it a try.
I live in MN and write, novels, mostly.
Two of my articles about the history of the MN/WI logging industry are being reprinted as Amazon Shorts. They should be up soon. They are:
1. The Greatest Log Jam Ever by Edna Curry
2. Nevers Dam, the Lumbermen’s Dam by Edna Curry

The first is about the 1886 Log Jam in Taylors Falls, MN, the largest in the world.
The second article is about Nevers Dam, the largest wood piling dam ever built.
Both were exciting events in Minnesota and Wisconsin history.

Okay, can't figure out how to upload a photo. If you want to see what I look like or want to see a photo of the big log jam, check out my webpage.
Sorry to make you do the extra step.
